Master Of Ceremonies Duties

The MC is responsible for all announcements the Bride and Groom would like made public.

When the bride and groom arrive at the hall the MC should be outside to greet them. There will either be introductions into the hall or an introduction of the head table. To introduce the grand entrance have the couples line up in the same order that they would have gone up the aisle in the ceremony.
After the introduction formalities are taken care of you will probably have some smaller announcements to take care of like the bar will be closed during dinner or there will be no smoking in the hall during dinner.
The MC will introduce the person saying a prayer for dinner and after the prayer will announce the order of the tables going up to eat if it is a buffet.
In most cases the speeches will take place after the dinner and before the dessert. The MC will now start the speeches with a few comments of his own. The MC is then in charge of keeping an order to the speeches. The speech order should be discussed prior to the event.
Some couples may ask the MC to introduce them at the beginning of the first dances, however this is most commonly left to the DJ.
