Disc Jockey Sound SystemsOne of the first questions we here is: do you have a backup system in case of an emergency. We run approximately six to eight events each Saturday and have 12 or more systems available. If we are hosting an event out of town, we bring additional gear and cables with us to avoid any delays in your party. We use Numark CD mix 2 systems as shown below combined with yamaha amps and speakers or QSC products. A typical show of 250 or less people will have around 1000 watts of power available.
Typical problems that may occur with any DJ service are largely avoided by Vanrock Sound employees as we do a complete test of your full system a couple of days prior to your event. The system is then left set up until your DJ picks it up so that they can also test it a final time before it leaves to your event. This avoids the main cause of most malfunctions (wires and faulty hookup). Another high rate occurrence is faulty CD players. Most of our hosts run a combination of computer and CDs which erases this problem as if one happens to malfunction they have the other to back them up. If an issue is to arrive with an amplifier(most systems do not even use an amp as the speakers are all powered) or speaker or for that matter any other component, the DJ will immediately contact our 24 hour rep to have a new piece brought out. This service also allows the rep to troubleshoot the problem and offer immediate solutions. Typical worst case scenarios are; 1 cd player will conk out which is resolved with emergency back up discs that have a continuous blend of music playing...or as mentioned above a complete switchover to laptop. 1 side of an amplifier may lose power due to a power surge etc... easily handled by plugging the speakers into one side of the amplifier until a replacement is made available. |
